Power Glove Love

At the PGL (as we like to call ourselves) we can never agree on anything. I love Halo but Andy and Chase hate it. I say they hate it because they are garbage at it and I am rad. I’m sure we disagree on other stuff too but I really just want to talk about the one thing no one here argues about. Arcade Fire is a great band! Not just great, fan-fucking-tastic!!!!

Anyone that has spoken to me for more than 10 minutes knows that I gush about Arcade Fire as if they are my children. I have a team of people out there alerting me to concerts, live appearances on TV, new bootlegs, and other happenings. A few weeks back Casey, who wrote one thing for the site when he said he would write many, got my attention and informed that Arcade Fire would be on Austin City Limits. To say I was excited is an understatement. I have seen them in concert one time with the delightful and always entertaining Andy but Austin City Limits always has high production values.

The day came and like an idiot, I forgot to set the TIVO and left to attend a birthday party (read:lots of drinking.) The next morning I arose with a massive headache and found out that I had forgotten! This just compounded the pounding in my head. Like the ethical boy I am, I scoured torrent sites and newsgroups, only to come up empty handed.

I was a sad boy, then through various nefarious channels I procured a copy. The baby throats that were slit to show my sincerity has paid off. This video, in 1080i and Dolby Digital 5.1, is in a word; delightful. If you have not been exposed to this band you are doing yourself a disservice.
